This is the book I’m reading at this moment. I’m now in a train going back to the city from my hometown far to the east of Peninsular Malaysia.
And this book was chosen to accompany me although I’m a bit cynical of the title and until now, at page 11, my head still could not agree to some of what was written.
This book is talking about how to find our so called soulmate. Part of me believe in this word but the majority really doesn’t think it actually exists.
The writer mentioned that one of the indication of a soulmate is that “you’ve fought with every boyfriend you’ve ever had, but you two never fight” – which for me doesn’t make any sense at all. Well how long does it take for us to know whether or not the person we’re with is actually our soulmate?
Taking example of my parents, they have been married for more than 33 years now and for me, they ARE their own soulmates. But of course they have fought over things. Small or big. I believe there are hard times in every relationships. It’s just whether you want it to work out or not. And it won’t work coming only from one side.
So for this indication, I would say its bullshit. Well maybe I judged the book too quickly. I’ll update as I go along. We shall see!
